The composition of the investment under conditions of non uniform changes

open access: yesPSL Quarterly Review, 2013
The present paper discusses Professor Adolph Lowe’s analysis of an economy subject to discontinuous changes, in relation to some aspects of the works by Maurice Dobb and Michael Kalecki on socialist planning.

Non-uniform wordlength delay lines for FIR filters [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
When FIR filters are designed floating point arithmetic is generally used. However when implemented on hardware such as ASICs, fixed point arithmetic must be used to minimise cost and power requirements.

RIPK4 function interferes with melanoma cell adhesion and metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RIPK4 promotes melanoma growth and spread. RIPK4 levels increase as skin lesions progress to melanoma. CRISPR/Cas9‐mediated deletion of RIPK4 causes melanoma cells to form less compact spheroids, reduces their migratory and invasive abilities and limits tumour growth and dissemination in mouse models.

Spontaneous Synchrony Breaking

open access: yes, 2010
Research on synchronization of coupled oscillators has helped explain how uniform behavior emerges in populations of non-uniform systems. But explaining how uniform populations engage in sustainable non-uniform synchronization may prove to be just as ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Perbandingan Hasil Pemodelan Aliran Satu Dimensi Unsteady Flow dan Steady Flow pada Banjir Kota

open access: yesMedia Komunikasi Teknik Sipil, 2016
One dimensional flow is often used as a flood simulation for the planning capacity of the river. Flood is a type of unsteady non-uniform flow, that can be simulated using HEC-RAS.

Coordinate noncommutativity in strong non-uniform magnetic fields

open access: yes, 2004
Noncommuting spatial coordinates are studied in the context of a charged particle moving in a strong non-uniform magnetic field. We derive a relation involving the commutators of the coordinates, which generalizes the one realized in a strong constant ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated
