Non-uniform magnetic fields for single-electron control
Our work investigates mechanisms for single-electron control based on non-uniform magnetic fields. Such fields can give rise to specific patterns such as snake trajectories and edge states, which characterize the electron evolution.

Vortex lattices for ultracold bosonic atoms in a non-Abelian gauge potential [PDF]
The use of coherent optical dressing of atomic levels allows the coupling of ultracold atoms to effective non-dynamical gauge fields. These can be used to generate effective magnetic fields, and have the potential to generate non-Abelian gauge ...

Research on optimal design of forced air-cooling heat transfer in inhomogeneous thermal field
Aiming at an integrated module with high power, high heat flux gradient and non-uniform thermophysical conditions, heat transfer optimization design research was conducted based on uniform temperature technology.

Gauge covariant formulation of Wigner representation through deformational quantization --Application to Keldysh formalism with electromagnetic field-- [PDF]
We developed a gauge-covariant formulation of the non-equilibrium Green function method for the dynamical and/or non-uniform electromagnetic field by means of the deformational quantization method.

Effective Potential for Uniform Magnetic Fields through Pauli Interaction
We have calculated the explicit form of the real and imaginary parts of the effective potential for uniform magnetic fields which interact with spin-1/2 fermions through the Pauli interaction.

The impact of domain walls on the chiral magnetic effect in hot QCD matter [PDF]
The Chiral Magnetic Effect (CME) -- the separation of positive and negative electric charges along the direction of the external magnetic field in quark-gluon plasma and other topologically non-trivial media -- is a consequence of the coupling of ...

Visual Perception in Non-uniform Fields
Adaptation for uniform fields and for non-uniform fields is compared. Experimentally, the luminance difference thresholds for the Foveal Adaptation Luminance (Lf), the Background Luminance (Lb) and the Equivalent Veiling Luminance (Leq) are separately investigated.

Galton boards are models of deterministic diffusion in a uniform external field, akin to driven periodic Lorentz gases, here considered in the absence of dissipation mechanism. Assuming a cylindrical geometry with axis along the direction of the external
