Developed in 2020, the CAESARE tool is a decision-support tool for interpreting fetal heart rate (FHR). In a preliminary study, the use of CAESARE led to a significant reduction in caesarean section rates. We assessed the ability of the CAESARE tool to predict acidosis earlier by reducing the time-to-intervention in cases of non-reassuring fetal status (

AbstractAim: To determine whether fetal intrauterine resuscitation using tocolysis and delayed delivery is better for the fetus than emergency delivery when fetal hypoxia is suspected because of a non‐reassuring fetal heart‐rate (FHR) pattern using conventional heart rate monitoring. Methods: This was a prospective and randomized study, conducted ...

What's already known about this topic? Sudden fetal death and a non‐reassuring fetal status are more frequent in fetal gastroschisis. Many studies were undertaken to determine what findings may predict postnatal outcome, but few assessed the findings related to the fetal risk. What does this study add?

AbstractAims: To evaluate fetal scalp stimulation test (FSST) as an adjunct to intermittent auscultation in diagnosis of intrapartum fetal acidosis and associate result of FSST with cord blood pH and immediate neonatal outcome.Material & Methods: This study was conducted at a tertiary hospital in India. Digital FSST was performed in seven hundred

Cesarean for non-reassuring fetal status: effect of obesity on decision to delivery interval
Journal of Perinatology, 2019To evaluate the impact of obesity on the decision to delivery interval. We compared the interval to delivery in normal, obese (BMI 30-40 kg/m2), and morbidly obese (BMI over 40 kg/m2) women. In a planned sub-analysis, we evaluated those who underwent emergency cesarean. We included 447 (25.3%) subjects: 157 normal, 200 obese, and 90 morbidly obese.

Objective: The aim was to study the predictive value and feasibility of fetal scalp lactate microsampling in the management of non-reassuring fetal status during labor. Methods: A prospective observational study was conducted on cord blood gas samplings from 7,617 singleton and cephalic deliveries at ≧37 weeks of ...

To investigate the predictive factors of urgent cesarean delivery (CD) due to acute intrapartum non-reassuring fetal status (NRFS) in infants with congenital heart defects (CHDs).This was a retrospective review of 199 singletons prenatally diagnosed with a CHD and for whom vaginal delivery was attempted in our institution between 2007 and 2014.

To clarify the effectiveness of ultrasound screening at 36 weeks' gestation for predicting a non-reassuring fetal status during labor (NRFS).A prospective cohort study was conducted between 2012 and 2013. Ultrasound evaluations of umbilical cord and placental abnormalities and fetal biometry were performed among pregnant females at 36 weeks' gestation.

A fetal movement acceleration measurement (FMAM) recorder was developed for home monitoring of fetal movements. We provided a 32-year-old pregnant woman with the FMAM recorder to home monitor fetal movements, thereby self-recording decreased fetal movements at 30 weeks' gestation.
