Age-related differences in gait symmetry obtained from kinematic synergies and muscle synergies of lower limbs during childhood

open access: yesBioMedical Engineering OnLine, 2022
The age-related changes of gait symmetry in healthy children concerning individual joint and muscle activation data have previously been widely studied. Extending beyond individual joints or muscles, identifying age-related changes in the coordination of

Brain Extraction From Brain MRI Images Based on Wasserstein GAN and O-Net

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
Brain extraction is an essential pre-processing step for neuroimaging analysis. It is difficult to achieve high-precision extraction from low-quality brain MRI images with artifacts and gray inconsistencies which often result in irregular hole regions in

Influence of Test Temperature and Test Frequency on Fatigue Life of Aluminum Alloy EN AW‐2618A

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The influence of test temperature and test frequency on the fatigue life of EN AW‐2618A is investigated. High‐cycle fatigue tests are performed at different test temperatures and frequencies on the 1000 h/230°C overaged state. Both test parameters reduce fatigue life due to time‐dependent damage mechanisms.

Ultrasonic pulse-echo reflection and through-transmission methods for porosity measurement in carbon fiber-reinforced polymer composites

open access: yesJournal of Aeronautical Materials, 2020
To detect void defects and determine porosity levels, carbon fiber-reinforced polymer composites were characterized through two kinds of ultrasonic methods, namely pulse-echo reflection and through-transmission.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.
