Nonlinear Young integrals via fractional calculus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
For H\"older continuous functions $W(t,x)$ and $\varphi_t$, we define nonlinear integral $\int_a^b W(dt, \varphi_t)$ via fractional calculus. This nonlinear integral arises naturally in the Feynman-Kac formula for stochastic heat equations with random ...

The Evolutionary Properties on Solitary Solutions of Nonlinear Evolution Equations

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2017
The evolution process of four class soliton solutions is investigated by basic calculus theory. For any given x, we describe the special curvature evolution following time t for the curve of soliton solution and also study the fluctuation of solution ...

From Nonlinear Identification to Linear Parameter Varying Models: Benchmark Examples

open access: yes, 2018
Linear parameter-varying (LPV) models form a powerful model class to analyze and control a (nonlinear) system of interest. Identifying a LPV model of a nonlinear system can be challenging due to the difficulty of selecting the scheduling variable(s) a ...

Bell Polynomials Approach Applied to (2 + 1)-Dimensional Variable-Coefficient Caudrey-Dodd-Gibbon-Kotera-Sawada Equation

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
The bilinear form, bilinear Bäcklund transformation, and Lax pair of a (2 + 1)-dimensional variable-coefficient Caudrey-Dodd-Gibbon-Kotera-Sawada equation are derived through Bell polynomials. The integrable constraint conditions on variable coefficients

Influence of Nonlinear Analysis Technology on Damage Analysis of Asphalt Pavement Structure

open access: yesThe Baltic Journal of Road and Bridge Engineering, 2023
As a means of predicting the damage pattern and design life of asphalt pavement structures, the reliability of damage analysis is highly dependent on the calculation accuracy of the pavement mechanical responses under wheel load.

Oscillation of Solutions of Nonlinear Difference Equation With a Super-linear Neutral Term

open access: yesNonautonomous Dynamical Systems, 2018
This paper deals with the oscillation of solutions of certain class of neutral difference equation ∆(an∆(χn + pnχαn−k)) + qnχβn+1−l = 0, where α and β are ratio of odd positive integers.

Nonlinear modes in the harmonic PT-symmetric potential

open access: yes, 2012
We study the families of nonlinear modes described by the nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation with the PT-symmetric harmonic potential $x^2-2i\alpha x$. The found nonlinear modes display a number of interesting features. In particular, we have observed that

The Caenorhabditis elegans DPF‐3 and human DPP4 have tripeptidyl peptidase activity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPPIV) family comprises serine proteases classically defined by their ability to remove dipeptides from the N‐termini of substrates, a feature that gave the family its name. Here, we report the discovery of a previously unrecognized tripeptidyl peptidase activity in DPPIV family members from two different species.
