Nonlinear Dynamic Buckling of Sandwich Panels
Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1976Nonlinear dynamic buckling of simply supported rectangular sandwich panels with isotropic cores and with initial curvature under transverse loads is analyzed. The large deflection sandwich panel equations proposed by Reissner are solved using a trigonometric series spacewise and by Houbolt scheme for timewise integration.

Nonlinear Vibration of Buckled Beams
Journal of Engineering for Industry, 1972The steady state response and stability of free and forced vibration of simply supported, axially restrained, buckled beams is investigated. The equations of motion dealing with the buckled state include the effect of an initial displacement either by initial load or by initial temperature. By an assumed mode solution, the response and stability of two

Buckling and geometrically nonlinear analysis of sandwich structures
International Journal of Mechanical Sciences, 2015Abstract In this work a finite element model is presented for buckling and nonlinear analysis of multilayer sandwich plates and shells, with a soft core sandwiched between stiff elastic layers. The finite element is obtained by assembling all element-layers through the thickness using specific assumptions on the displacement continuity at the ...
