Soliton equations: admitted solutions and invariances via B\"acklund transformations [PDF]

open access: yesOpen Communications in Nonlinear Mathematical Physics
A couple of applications of B\"acklund transformations in the study of nonlinear evolution equations is here given. Specifically, we are concerned about third order nonlinear evolution equations.

Multimodal Mechanical Testing of Additively Manufactured Ti6Al4V Lattice Structures: Compression, Bending, and Fatigue

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this experimental study, the mechanical properties of additively manufactured Ti‐6Al‐4V lattice structures of different geometries are characterized using compression, four point bending and fatigue testing. While TPMS designs show superior fatigue resistance, SplitP and Honeycomb lattice structures combine high stiffness and strength. The resulting

Nonlinear Wave Equations Related to Nonextensive Thermostatistics

open access: yesEntropy, 2017
We advance two nonlinear wave equations related to the nonextensive thermostatistical formalism based upon the power-law nonadditive S q entropies.

Piezoresistive Monitoring of Carbon Nanomaterial‐Reinforced Epoxy Composites Under Cyclic and Fatigue Loading: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Carbon nanomaterial‐reinforced epoxy composites exhibit pronounced piezoresistive behavior, enabling intrinsic damage sensing under cyclic and fatigue loading. This review critically compares carbon nanotube and graphene systems, correlating filler content, percolation threshold, and gauge factor with sensing stability and damage evolution.

The Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation Derived From the Fifth-Order Korteweg–de Vries Equation Using Multiple Scales Method

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations
The mathematical models of problems that arise in many branches of science are nonlinear equations of evolution (NLEE). For this reason, NLEE have served as a language in formulating many engineering and scientific problems.

Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed

Air‐Pressure–Actuated Vibroacoustic Metamaterial With Tunable Bandgap: Design, Modeling, and Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article presents the design, modeling, and characterization of air‐pressure–actuated programmable vibroacoustic metamaterials (PVAMM). The study focuses on leveraging air pressure to dynamically tune resonance frequencies for effective noise attenuation.

A modified three-term of Dai–Yuan type derivative-free algorithm for nonlinear monotone equations with signal recovery problems

open access: yesFranklin Open
A lot of researchers have introduced iterative schemes for solving convex constrained nonlinear monotone equations. This paper aims to propose a modified three-term of Dai–Yuan type (TTDY) derivative-free algorithm for nonlinear monotone equations.

A note on exp-function method combined with complex transform method applied to fractional differential equations

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis, 2015
In this article, the fractional derivatives in the sense of modified Riemann–Liouville and the exp-function method are used to construct exact solutions for some nonlinear partial fractional differential equations via the nonlinear fractional Liouville ...
