A Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
Block Diagram of the Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller. ABSTRACT This article introduces a discrete‐time robust adaptive one‐sample‐ahead preview super‐twisting sliding mode controller. A stability analysis of the controller by Lyapunov criteria is developed to demonstrate its robustness in handling both ...

Towards a theory of nonlinear gravitational waves: a systematic approach to nonlinear gravitational perturbations in vacuum

open access: yes, 2017
We present a systematic and robust approach to nonlinear gravitational perturbations of vacuum spacetimes. This approach provides a basis for a theory of nonlinear gravitational waves.

Characterization of Defect Distribution in an Additively Manufactured AlSi10Mg as a Function of Processing Parameters and Correlations with Extreme Value Statistics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Predicting extreme defects in additive manufacturing remains a key challenge limiting its structural reliability. This study proposes a statistical framework that integrates Extreme Value Theory with advanced process indicators to explore defect–process relationships and improve the estimation of critical defect sizes. The approach provides a basis for

Solitary Wave Solutions for a Time-Fraction Generalized Hirota-Satsuma Coupled KdV Equation by a New Analytical Technique

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations, 2010
A new iterative technique is employed to solve a system of nonlinear fractional partial differential equations. This new approach requires neither Lagrange multiplier like variational iteration method (VIM) nor polynomials like Adomian's decomposition ...

On the Lightweight Potential of Laser Additive Manufactured NiTi Triply Periodic Minimal Sheet Lattices

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study explores the lightweight potential of laser additive‐manufactured NiTi triply periodic minimal surface sheet lattices. It systematically investigates the effects of relative density and unit cell size on surface quality, deformation recovery, compression behavior, and energy absorption.

U(1)-invariant membranes: the geometric formulation, Abel and pendulum differential equations

open access: yes, 2010
The geometric approach to study the dynamics of U(1)-invariant membranes is developed. The approach reveals an important role of the Abel nonlinear differential equation of the first type with variable coefficients depending on time and one of the ...

Numerical Analysis of Iterative Fractional Partial Integro-Differential Equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2022
Many nonlinear phenomena are modeled in terms of differential and integral equations. However, modeling nonlinear phenomena with fractional derivatives provides a better understanding of processes having memory effects.

Continuous Symmetries of Difference Equations

open access: yes, 2005
Lie group theory was originally created more than 100 years ago as a tool for solving ordinary and partial differential equations. In this article we review the results of a much more recent program: the use of Lie groups to study difference equations ...

Characterization of Nitinol Produced by Laser Powder Bed Fusion for Mechanical Metamaterial Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

A boundary value problem for nonlinear differential equation with arbitrary functions

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы, 2017
This article describes a semi-batch nonlinear boundary value problem for differential equations with partial derivatives. The equations containing arbitrary parameters were considered in Whitham G.B.
