Nonlinear state feedback ℋ ∞ -control of mechanical systems under unilateral constraints
IFAC Postprint Volumes IPPV / International Federation of Automatic Control, 2014Abstract The work focuses on the state feedback synthesis of hybrid mechanical systems under unilateral constraints. The problem of robust control of mechanical systems is addressed under unilateral constraints by designing a nonlinear state feedback ** ℋ ∞ -controller developed in the hybrid setting, covering impact phenomena. Performance issues of

This paper presents the formulation of a novel block-backstepping based control algorithm to address the stabilization problem for a generalized nonlinear underactuated mechanical system. For the convenience of compact design, first, the state model of the underactuated system has been converted into the block-strict feedback form.

Modelling of the thyroid hormone synthesis as a part of nonlinear reaction mechanism with feedback
Computers in Biology and Medicine, 2023The synthesis of thyroid hormones in the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid (HPT) axis was studied. For this purpose, a reaction model for HPT axis with stoichiometric relations between the main reaction species was postulated. Using the law of mass action, this model has been transformed into a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations.

Analysis of a nonlinear cochlear feedback mechanism
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1983The implications of a nonlinear electromechanical cochlear feedback model [S. Koshigoe, W. Kwok, and A. Tubis, J. Acoust. Soc. Am. Suppl. 1 72, S47 (1982)] are explored. The model is shown to be qualitatively compatible with data on stimulated and spontaneous emissions, combination-tone psychophysics, and changes in cochlear response induced by COCB ...

Nonlinear Feedback Mechanisms Inside a Rectangular Cavity
AIAA Journal, 2014An examination of a rectangular cavity with a length-to-depth ratio of 5.67 was tested at Mach 0.7 and 1.5 with corresponding Reynolds numbers of 6.49×106 and 7.35×106/m, respectively. High-speed shadowgraph movies were simultaneously sampled with dynamic pressure sensors at 75 kHz.

AbstractA composite nonlinear feedback (CNF) control with dynamic event‐triggered strategy for saturated systems is considered in this paper. The CNF control is introduced to improve the system response speed and reduce the overshoot under disturbances. The dynamic event‐triggered mechanism (DETM) is utilized to save more communication resources.

Output feedback variable structure-like control of nonlinear mechanical systems
42nd IEEE International Conference on Decision and Control (IEEE Cat. No.03CH37475), 2004In this paper, we develop a new output feedback, variable structure-like (discontinuous) tracking controller for a class of uncertain, nonlinear, multi-input multi-output, mechanical systems whose dynamics are first-order differentiable. A novel filter design and Lyapunov-type stability analysis are used to prove semi-global asymptotic tracking.

Study of an experimental electro-mechanical feedback oscillator with special nonlinearity
Physics Letters A, 1989Abstract An electro-mechanical feedback oscillator with special nonlinearity is studied experimentally and theoretically. A stable state and a modulated state are recorded. Based on the analysis of the relevant differential equations, we give an explanation of the experiments and the criterion of the stability of the system.
