Springback Coefficient Research of API X60 Pipe with Dent Defect

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Dent is a common form of defect on oil and gas pipeline. Some dents will undergo elastic or plastic recovery due to changes in internal pressure, also known as springback.

Constructing single-entry stem volume models for four economically important tree species of Greece

open access: yesFolia Oecologica, 2021
Three different nonlinear regression models were tested for their ability to predict stem volume for economically important native tree species in Greece.

Satellite Pose Estimation with Deep Landmark Regression and Nonlinear Pose Refinement [PDF]

open access: yes2019 IEEE/CVF International Conference on Computer Vision Workshop (ICCVW), 2019
We propose an approach to estimate the 6DOF pose of a satellite, relative to a canonical pose, from a single image. Such a problem is crucial in many space proximity operations, such as docking, debris removal, and inter-spacecraft communications.

Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Estimation in nonlinear regression with Harris recurrent Markov chains [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, we study parametric nonlinear regression under the Harris recurrent Markov chain framework. We first consider the nonlinear least squares estimators of the parameters in the homoskedastic case, and establish asymptotic theory for the ...

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

Investigation of Hazelnut Husk Combustion by using A Novel Non-linear Kinetic Model through Thermogravimetric Analysis

open access: yesSakarya Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü Dergisi, 2021
Considering economic and environmental issues, boosting renewable energy source is the main subject to fulfill energy demand in these days. Biomass as natural and abundant energy source can be typically used to produce electricity, fuels and heat ...

Establishing an assay to evaluate d‐amino acid oxidase enzyme kinetics and inhibition using WST‐8 redox dye

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This study investigated a novel WST‐8‐based assay for evaluating d‐Amino acid oxidase (DAO) inhibitors. We confirmed its effectiveness using known inhibitors and found that uremic toxins possess relatively weak inhibitory activity compared to existing drugs.

Robust and optimal sparse regression for nonlinear PDE models. [PDF]

open access: yesChaos, 2019
This paper investigates how models of spatiotemporal dynamics in the form of nonlinear partial differential equations can be identified directly from noisy data using a combination of sparse regression and weak formulation.

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...
