Longitudinal genome‐wide aneuploidy measurements in circulating cell‐free DNA to predict lack of benefit from pembrolizumab in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Many patients with urothelial cancer do not benefit from treatment with pembrolizumab, while at risk of severe side effects. Changes in the levels of circulating tumor DNA early during treatment, measured by a simple and affordable assay that can be easily implemented in the clinic, can be used as a prognostic tool to identify these patients.

Geometrically Nonlinear Static Analysis of High-Aspect-Ratio Truss-Braced Wing

open access: yesEngineering Proceedings
Truss-braced wings (TBWs) feature higher aspect ratios with a lighter weight and lower bending moment than conventional wings. These wings show significant potential for performance improvements in terms of fuel efficiency.

Analysis of equations arising in gyrotron theory

open access: yes, 2012
The gyrotron is a microwave source whose operation is based on the stimulated cyclotron radiation of electrons oscillating in a static magnetic field. Powerful gyrotrons can be used to heat nuclear fusion plasma.

A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Non-Linear Static Analysis of Masonry Buildings under Seismic Actions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics, 2018
Assessing existing masonry buildings in seismic zones is a critical issue, due to the high vulnerability of the built environment. Commonly, beside local analysis, refined assessment procedures are used based on non-linear static methods, like the ...

Nonlinear Static Analysis of an Asphalt Concrete Core Dam dor Comparison of Three Constitutive Models

open access: yesArchives of Civil Engineering, 2012
The goal of this work is to compare different constitutive models in the nonlinear static characteristic analysis of asphalt concrete core dams. The Duncan E- μ model, Duncan E-B model and double-yield-surface model are three major constitutive models in

A Nonlinear Static Procedure for the Seismic Design of Symmetrical Irregular Bridges

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2020
Displacement-based seismic design methods support the performance-based seismic design philosophy known to be the most advanced seismic design theory. This paper explores one common type of irregular-continuous bridges and studies the prediction of their

Hysteresis Envelope Model of Double Extended End-Plate Bolted Beam-to-Column Joint

open access: yesBuildings, 2021
In this study, a hysteresis envelope mathematical model for the double extended end-plate bolted beam-to-column joint is proposed. The aim of a proposed joint model is to provide a more realistic behaviour of steel frames under seismic loading by using ...
