Feedback for nonlinear system identification [PDF]
Motivated by neuronal models from neuroscience, we consider the system identification of simple feedback structures whose behaviors include nonlinear phenomena such as excitability, limit-cycles and chaos. We show that output feedback is sufficient to solve the identification problem in a two-step procedure.

Quantized valley Hall response from local bulk density variations
The application of a mechanical strain to a 2D material can create pseudo-magnetic fields and lead to a quantized valley Hall effect. However, measuring valley-resolved effects remains a challenging task due to their inherent fragility and dependence on ...

Solution of nonlinear system of equations through homotopy path [PDF]
The paper aims to show the equivalency between nonlinear complementarity problem and the system of nonlinear equations. We propose a homotopy method with vector parameter $\lambda$ in finding the solution of nonlinear complementarity problem through a system of nonlinear equations. We propose a smooth and bounded homotopy path to obtain solution of the

Loschmidt echo and Berry phase around degeneracies in nonlinear systems [PDF]
We study the Loschmidt echo and Berry phase in a nonlinear system transported around a double and triple degeneracy. The nonlinearity of the system makes the Berry phase different from that in linear systems. We propose a witness of nonlinearity for the nonlinear system and show its dependence on the parameters of the system, taking the standard Landau-

Nonlinear Supratransmission in Multicomponent Systems [PDF]
A method is proposed to solve the challenging problem of determining the supratransmission threshold (onset of instability of harmonic boundary driving inside a band gap) in multicomponent nonintegrable nonlinear systems. It is successfully applied to the degenerate three-wave resonant interaction in a birefringent quadratic medium where the process ...

Jamming Transition: Heptagons, Pentagons, and Discs
The jamming behavior of a system composed of discs has been well documented. However, it remains unclear how a granular system consisting of non-spherical particles transitions between unjammed and jammed states.

Identification of Nonlinear Systems Using Radial Basis Function Neural Network [PDF]
This paper uses the radial basis function neural network (RBFNN) for system identification of nonlinear systems. Five nonlinear systems are used to examine the activity of RBFNN in system modeling of nonlinear systems; the five nonlinear systems are ...

A modification of the classic logistic map is proposed, using fuzzy triangular numbers. The resulting map is analysed through its Lyapunov exponent (LE) and bifurcation diagrams.
