The global behaviour of nonlinear systems is extremely important in control and systems theory since the usual local theories will only give information about a system in some neighbourhood of an operating point. Away from that point, the system may have

A previously unreported coordination motif stabilising single Fe atoms by indigo chelation and pyridyl coordination on Au(111) has been revealed. By using planar tritopic pyridyl linkers (TPyB), extended 2D porous networks of indigo3(TPyB)2Fe6 form. These networks can be crystalline or vitreous and offer an environment where individual coordination ...

Dynamical Systems; Proceedings of an IIASA Workshop, Sopron, Hungary, September 9-13, 1985 [PDF]
The investigation of special topics in systems dynamics -- uncertain dynamic processes, viability theory, nonlinear dynamics in models for biomathematics, inverse problems in control systems theory -- has become a major issue at the System and Decision ...

Slight Truncation Changes in Iron Oxide Nanocubes Strongly Affect Their Magnetic Properties
Subtle variations in nanoparticle morphology can lead to significant changes in functional properties. An automated shape‐fitting method captures minor differences in corner truncation between iron oxide nanocubes of similar sizes synthesized under identical conditions, revealing pronounced disparities in their magnetic and hyperthermia behavior ...

Strong Stationarity Conditions for Optimal Control of Hybrid Systems
We present necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for finite time optimal control problems for a class of hybrid systems described by linear complementarity models.

Ferroelectricity in thin HfO2‐based films offers great possibilities for next‐generation neuromorphic memory devices. There, the response to subcoercive voltage signals is driven by the movement of mobile interfaces and their interaction with crystal defects – a yet rather unexplored aspect, which we shed light on and gain new insights into the complex

Feedforward Nonlinear Control Using Neural Gas Network
Nonlinear systems control is a main issue in control theory. Many developed applications suffer from a mathematical foundation not as general as the theory of linear systems.

Estimation of generalised frequency response functions [PDF]
Volterra series theory has a wide application in the representation, analysis, design and control of nonlinear systems. A new method of estimating the Volterra kernels in the frequency domain is introduced based on a non-parametric algorithm. Unlike the

Shaping Ti3C2 MXene Nanospheres for Precision Near‐Infrared Photothermal Therapy
In this study, we report producing spherical MXenes via fs laser fragmentation of Ti3C2 flakes in liquid medium. The nanoparticles demonstrated pronounced light absorption and high photothermal conversion efficiencies of 68% and 63% under heating with NIR‐I and NIR‐II lasers, respectively.
