The effect of moment redistribution on the stability of reinforced concrete moment resisting frame buildings under the ground motion [PDF]
In recent years some studies have been done on the moment rredistribution in buildings and new methods offered for calculating of redistribution. Observations demonstrated that the combination of moment and shear force is important in analysis of ...

A quasi-static nonlinear analysis for assessing the fire resistance of 3d frames exploiting time-dependent yield surface [PDF]
In this work an automatic procedure for evaluating the axial force-biaxial bending yield surface of reinforced concrete sections in fire is proposed. It provides an accurate time-dependent expression of the yield condition by a section analysis carried ...

The McCance Brain Care Score and Mortality: Evidence From a Large‐Scale Population‐Based Cohort
ABSTRACT Objectives This study aimed to examine the relationship between the McCance Brain Care Score (BCS) and mortality in the general population. Methods We conducted a prospective, population‐based cohort study using data from the UK Biobank. Participants with complete data enabling calculation of BCS and full mortality information were included ...

ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare disorder characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness with potential life‐threatening crises. Timely interventions may be delayed by limited access to care and fragmented documentation. Our objective was to develop predictive algorithms for MG deterioration using multimodal telemedicine data ...

The Assessment and Comparison of Tall Buildings with Outrigger and Belt Truss Systems Using Fragility Curves [PDF]
In the design of high-rise buildings, three parameters such as resistance, hardness and stability are very important and when the height of building rises, effect of toughness and stability in optimum design will be dominate more than of the effects of ...

Nonlinear Time-History Analysis Of 3-Dimensional Semi-Rigid Steel Frames
This paper presents nonlinear elastic dynamic analysis of 3-D semi-rigid steel frames including geometric and connection nonlinearities. The geometric nonlinearity is considered by using stability functions and updating geometric stiffness matrix.
