Macroscale Nonlocal Dispersion
1997In the previous chapter, we employed hybrid mixture theory to “upscale” classical continuum equations to various higher scales. To do so we required a discrete scale separation between the “pore scale” and one or more higher scales. In this chapter we make no such assumptions on scale separation.

Nonclassical Nature of Nonlocal Dispersion Cancellation
Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics 2010, 2010Shapiro recently suggested that nonlocal dispersion cancellation is essentially classical in nature. It is shown that his classical model gives identical dispersion in two beams of light and is not analogous to nonlocal dispersion cancellation.
