Perimeter preservers of nonnegative integer matrices [PDF]
summary:We investigate the perimeter of nonnegative integer matrices. We also characterize the linear operators which preserve the rank and perimeter of nonnegative integer matrices. That is, a linear operator $T$ preserves the rank and perimeter of rank-

Nonnegative minors of minor matrices
Using the relationship between totally nonnegative matrices and directed acyclic weighted planar networks, we show that 2×2 minors of minor matrices of totally nonnegative matrices are also nonnegative.

Information Design for Early‐Stage Dose‐Finding Trials
ABSTRACT To enhance enrollment rates in early‐stage dose‐finding clinical trials, we propose an information design approach, where the clinical investigator (CI) commits to an information releasing mechanism (IRM) based on the treatment's uncertain efficacy and toxicity to encourage patients to participate in the trial.

Nonnegative rectangular matrices having certain nonnegative 𝑊-weighted group inverses
Nonnegative rectangular matrices having nonnegative W W -weighted group inverses are characterized. Our techniques suggest an interesting approach to extend the earlier known results on λ \lambda -monotone square ...

Nonnegative Eigenvectors of Symmetric Matrices [PDF]
For matrices with all nonnegative entries, the Perron-Frobenius theorem guarantees the existence of an eigenvector with all nonnegative components. We show that the existence of such an eigenvector is also guaranteed for a very different class of matrices, namely real symmetric matrices with exactly two eigenvalues.

ABSTRACT This paper addresses the problem of dynamic output‐feedback H∞$$ {H}_{\infty } $$ detector‐based control for continuous‐time Markov Jump Lur'e Systems with uncertain transition rate matrices. In contrast to conventional approaches, the proposed synthesis conditions are derived using Finsler's lemma, introducing additional slack variables to ...

Stability Optimization of Positive Semi-Markov Jump Linear Systems via Convex Optimization
In this paper, we study the problem of optimizing the stability of positive semi-Markov jump linear systems. We specifically consider the problems of tuning the coefficients of the system matrices for maximizing the exponential decay rate of the system ...

Graphs and nonnegative matrices
Results concerning generalized inverses of n×n matrices over the Boolean algebra of order two are applied to the study of directed graphs and nonnegative matrices. Maximal systems of directed graphs are discussed.
