ABSTRACT Networked control systems (NCSs) often suffer from performance degradation due to limited communication bandwidth, which can cause data transmission conflicts and packet loss. Existing scheduling strategies may fail to simultaneously meet the real‐time requirements and the importance of multisensor data, and they are particularly vulnerable ...

A Quantised Push‐Sum Distributed Adaptive Momentum Algorithm for Optimisation Over Directed Networks
ABSTRACT In this paper, we investigate a distributed constrained optimisation problem over directed networks. The agents in the networks conduct local computations and communications, endeavouring to collaboratively minimise the aggregation of all locally known convex cost functions subject to a global constraint set.

The Dittert's function on a set of nonnegative matrices
Let Kn denote the set of all n×n nonnegative matrices with entry sum n. For X∈Kn with row sum vector (r1,…,rn), column sum vector (c1,…,cn), Let ϕ(X)=∏iri+∏jcj−perX. Dittert's conjecture asserts that ϕ(X)≤2−n!/nn for all X∈Kn with equality iff X=[1/n]n×n.

Factorization of nonnegative matrices—II
AbstractSuppose A is an n×n nonnegative matrix. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given for A to be factored as LU, where L is a lower triangular nonnegative matrix, and U is an upper triangular nonnegative matrix with uii = 1.

ABSTRACT The 2000s have witnessed a significant, worldwide boom in new art museums founded by private, wealthy collectors. While the arts have long been a key arena for the remaking of elite distinction and the reproduction of inequalities, this surge in private museums has sparked much controversy.

Updating a map of sufficient conditions for the real nonnegative inverse eigenvalue problem
The real nonnegative inverse eigenvalue problem (RNIEP) asks for necessary and sufficient conditions in order that a list of real numbers be the spectrum of a nonnegative real matrix.

Eigenvalue Estimates Using the Kolmogorov-Sinai Entropy
The scope of this paper is twofold. First, we use the Kolmogorov-Sinai Entropy to estimate lower bounds for dominant eigenvalues of nonnegative matrices. The lower bound is better than the Rayleigh quotient.

Nonnegative (s, t)-potent matrices
This paper contains a study of matrices satisfying As = At for different positive integers s and t. Representations, similar to Flor's well-known characterization of a nonnegative idempotent matrix, are obtained for nonnegative matrices of this ...

Cross‐Ownership and Welfare‐Inferior Price Competition with Relative Profit Delegation Contracts
ABSTRACT We consider management reward contracts based on relative profit performance under cross‐ownership and find nonequivalence of price and quantity competition. We also examine an endogenous choice of competition mode under unilateral cross‐ownership and show that the welfare‐inferior price competition can appear unless the product's ...
