Acute Effects and Pharmacokinetics of LSD after Paroxetine or Placebo Pre‐Administration in a Randomized, Double‐Blind, Cross‐Over Phase I Trial

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Psychedelics, such as psilocybin and lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), are being investigated for the treatment of depressive and anxiety disorders, for which concomitant treatment with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) is prevalent.

Reduction in adipocyte ATP by lipolytic agents: relation to intracellular free fatty acid accumulation

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1971
Epinephrine, norepinephrine, ACTH, and dibutyryl 3′,5′-cyclic AMP reduced adipocyte ATP levels during 60 min incubation; glucose displayed a protective effect.

Drug‐Event Pairs as Indicators for the Detection of Adverse Drug Reactions during Hospitalization in Routinely Collected Electronic Data Sources

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Adverse drug reactions (ADRs) are a common cause of morbidity and mortality in hospitalized patients. Identification of ADRs in clinical practice, surveillance and research is essential to prevent further harm. The aim of this study was to assess the likelihood of drugs contributing to clinically important inpatient adverse events, in order to provide ...

Lipolytic response and adenyl cyclase activity of rat adipocytes as related to cell size

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1971
The number of fat cells contained in the rat epididymal fat pad was found to increase rapidly as the rats grew to a weight of about 300 g. Additional increases in cell number above this weight were minimal.

Montgomery‐Åsberg Depression Rating Scale factors in treatment‐resistant depression at onset of treatment: Derivation, replication, and change over time during treatment with esketamine

open access: yesInternational Journal of Methods in Psychiatric Research, Volume 31, Issue 4, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objective Derive and confirm factor structure of the Montgomery‐Åsberg Depression Rating Scale (MADRS) in patients with treatment‐resistant depression (TRD) and evaluate how the factors evident at baseline change over 4 weeks of esketamine treatment. Methods Two similarly‐designed, short‐term TRANSFORM trials randomized adults to esketamine or

Metabolism study of 3‐chloromethcathinone (3‐CMC) by dried blood spot (DBS) sampling after controlled administration using a murine model

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
The metabolism of 3‐chloromethcathinone (3‐CMC) was studied after controlled administration in a murine model using the dried blood spot (DBS) technique for the sampling, storage and purification of blood samples. The metabolite profile of 3‐CMC was studied by LC‐HRMS, while the stability of 3‐CMC and its three identified metabolites was also assessed ...
