NORMAL ANATOMY OF THE SKULL BASE

Neuroimaging Clinics of North America, 1994
CT and MR imaging increasingly are being used for the evaluation of the skull base. New innovative techniques have revolutionized radiologic understanding of normal skull base anatomy. Thus, normal anatomic relationships with radiographic correlation are vital for accurate pathologic assessment.

Neural Bases of Talker Normalization

Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience, 2004
Abstract To recognize phonemes across variation in talkers, listeners can use information about vocal characteristics, a process referred to as “talker normalization.” The present study investigates the cortical mechanisms underlying talker normalization using fMRI.

A note on normal bases

1995
In this paper, it is first shown that the set of polynomials h α (X) such that β generates a normal basis of GF(q n ) over GF(q), is a multiplicative group, in the algebra GF(q)[X]/(X n −1), if and only if there exists at least one Self Complementary Normal (SCN) basis.

Gradient based intensity normalization

Journal of Microscopy, 2010
SummaryIntensity normalization is important in quantitative image analysis, especially when extracting features based on intensity. In automated microscopy, particularly in large cellular screening experiments, each image contains objects of similar type (e.g.

ON NORMAL BASES OF A FINITE FIELD

Mathematics of the USSR-Sbornik, 1988
Let \(K=GF(q^ t)\) be a finite field of characteristic p, consisting of \(q^ t\) elements with \(q=p^ u\), and let \(\Omega =\{\omega_ 0,\omega_ 1,...,\omega_{t-1}\}\) be a normal basis of K over the field GF(q), that is, a basis over GF(q) in which \(\omega_ i=\omega^{q^ i}\) \((i=0,1,..,t-1)\) for some \(\omega\in K\).
