Conductance Spectroscopy of Spin-triplet Superconductors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
We propose a novel experiment to identify the symmetry of superconductivity on the basis of theoretical results for differential conductance of a normal metal connected to a superconductor.

A normal integral basis Theorem

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 1980
Let K be a number field of class number one and let L be a tame cyclic extension of K of prime power degree. Put G = G(L/K) and pm = #G, where p is a prime number. Let K’ be a finite extension of K, containing the pm th roots of unity, which is disjoint from L over K and such that the . . . discrtmmants D,,, and D,,, are relatively prime.

The center of the affine nilTemperley-Lieb algebra [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We give a description of the center of the affine nilTemperley-Lieb algebra based on a certain grading of the algebra and on a faithful representation of it on fermionic particle configurations.

Neuropilin Antagonists (NRPas) Block the Phosphorylation of the Cancer Therapeutic Key Factor p38α Kinase Triggering Cell Death

open access: yesMolecules
Neuropilin-1 is henceforth a relevant target in cancer treatment; however, its way of action remains partly elusive, and the development of small inhibitory molecules is therefore required for its study.

Radial Basis Functions Approximation Method for Time-Fractional FitzHugh–Nagumo Equation

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2023
In this paper, a numerical approach employing radial basis functions has been applied to solve time-fractional FitzHugh–Nagumo equation. Spatial approximation is achieved by combining radial basis functions with the collocation method, while temporal ...

Multiple Conclusion Rules in Logics with the Disjunction Property

open access: yes, 2015
We prove that for the intermediate logics with the disjunction property any basis of admissible rules can be reduced to a basis of admissible m-rules (multiple-conclusion rules), and every basis of admissible m-rules can be reduced to a basis of ...

The physical basis of transparency of the normal cornea [PDF]

open access: yesEye, 1997
An understanding of the physical basis of corneal transparency has been a subject of interest amongst physicists, basic scientists and ophthalmologists. Impairment of corneal clarity is a significant cause of visual morbidity worldwide. Several highly mathematical treatises have been presented in support of different theories of corneal transparency in

Why and When Are Evidence‐Based Interventions Adopted in Paediatric Supportive Care? A Qualitative Exploration of the Determinants of Photobiomodulation Implementation

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Oral mucositis is a common and debilitating side effect of childhood cancer and stem cell transplant treatments. It affects the quality of life of children and young people (CYP) and places a strain on services. Photobiomodulation is recommended for oral mucositis prevention in international guidance but is poorly implemented in UK ...

Normal Modes and No Zero Mode Theorem of Scalar Fields in BTZ Black Hole Spacetime

open access: yes, 2008
Eigenfunctions for normal modes of scalar fields in BTZ black hole spacetime are studied. Orthonormal relations among them are derived. Quantization for scalar fields is done and particle number, energy and angular momentum are expressed by the creation ...

An Algorithm for the Construction of a Normal Basis

open access: yesJournal of Number Theory, 1999
Let \(L/K\) be a degree \(n\) Galois extension of fields of characteristic non zero. Let \(G=\{s_1,\ldots,s_n\}\) be its Galois group. The author gives an iterative algorithm to construct an element \(y\in L\) such that \((s_1(y),\ldots,s_n(y))\) is a basis of the \(K\)-vector space \(L\), called a normal basis of \(L/K\).
