Enhancement of PQ in grid connected PV system using hybrid technique

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal, 2018
This paper proposed a hybrid technique based on power quality (PQ) enhancement in grid connected Photovoltaic (PV) system. The hybrid technique is the combined performance of both the Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBFNN) and Proportional Integral

Two Faces of NOTCH1 in Childhood Lymphoblastic T‐Cell Neoplasia: Prognostic Divergence of Mutational and Structural Aberrations

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In pediatric patients, T‐cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T‐LBL) survival exceeds 80%. Relapse remains associated with limited curative options. Frontline treatment is largely extrapolated from T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T‐ALL) treatment, reflecting the ongoing debate, whether both entities represent distinct diseases or variants within ...

Left breast irradiation with tangential intensity modulated radiotherapy (t-IMRT) versus tangential volumetric modulated arc therapy (t-VMAT): trade-offs between secondary cancer induction risk and optimal target coverage

open access: yesRadiation Oncology, 2019
Background Adjuvant radiotherapy is the standard treatment after breast-conserving surgery. According to meta-analyses, adjuvant 3d-conventional irradiation reduces the risk of local recurrence and thereby improves long-term survival by 5–10%.

Magnetoquasistatic resonances of small dielectric objects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
A small dielectric object with positive permittivity may resonate when the free-space wavelength is large in comparison with the object dimensions if the permittivity is sufficiently high.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

TO THE QUESTION OF CHOOSING THE MODEL OF WEAK INTERPLANETARY SCINTILLATIONS OF COSMIC SOURCES RADIOEMISSION IN RANGE FROM 8 TO 80 MHZ

open access: yesRadio Physics and Radio Astronomy, 2019
Purpose: An overview of the models of electromagnetic wave propagation in random media for the possibility of using them to describe the weak interplanetary scintillations of radio emission of cosmic sources in the range from 8 to80 MHz, as well as ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

On a relative normal integral basis problem over abelian number fields

open access: yesProceedings of the Japan Academy, Series A, Mathematical Sciences, 1993
This is an announcement of the following result. Let \(p\) be a fixed odd prime number, let \(K\) be a number field containing the \(p\)-th roots of unity and let \(C_ p\) be a cyclic group of order \(p\). In this paper the quotient is considered of the group of all realizations of \(C_ p\) as a Galois group over \(K\) and the subgroup of those ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Suppression Strategy of Starting Current Impulse in the Front Stage Rectifier of Electric Vehicle WPT System

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal
The three-phase voltage type Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) rectifier is widely used in the front-end power factor of electric vehicle wireless charging systems due to its simple control structure and easy implementation.
