Consistency and Asymptotic Normality of Estimator for Parameters in Multiresponse Multipredictor Semiparametric Regression Model [PDF]
A multiresponse multipredictor semiparametric regression (MMSR) model is a combi-nation of parametric and nonparametric regressions models with more than one predictor and response variables where there is correlation between responses.

Normality in Analytical Psychology
Although C.G. Jung’s interest in normality wavered throughout his career, it was one of the areas he identified in later life as worthy of further research.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Semi-moments based tests of normality and the evolution of stock returns towards normality. [PDF]
Testing for normality is of paramount importance in many areas of science since the Gaussian distribution is a key hypothesis in many models. As the use of semi–moments is increasing in physics, economics or finance, often to judge the distributional ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Asymptotic normality for sums along data-dependent sampling schemes [PDF]
Let X_={X_,t^1∈N},..., X_={X_, t^d∈N} be independent sequences of i.i.d. real-valued random variables and let S_t=S_+…+S_ where t=(t^1,...,t^d) and S_=Σ_≤t^i-μ_i)/σ_i), i=1,...,d.

The Social Constructedness of Resilience
This essay aims to clarify what it means to de-essentialize the concept of “resilience”. Pre-determinated assumptions regarding its normativity or positive character are to be disproven in order to conceptualize it as an open (social) process; thus to ...

When should meta‐analysis avoid making hidden normality assumptions?
Meta‐analysis is a widely used statistical technique. The simplicity of the calculations required when performing conventional meta‐analyses belies the parametric nature of the assumptions that justify them.
