Random forest regression for catalyst performance prediction and validation of tri‐reforming of methane (TRM)

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, Volume 104, Issue 11, Page 5875-5891, November 2026.
Abstract Carbon dioxide‐reduced hydrogen can be synthesized through various methods such as dry‐reforming (DRM), steam reforming (SMR), and partial oxidation (POX). Tri‐reforming of methane (TRM) is a promising technology which combines all the above‐mentioned processes for the simultaneous production of hydrogen and syngas with high energy efficiency.

Intratumoral and Peritumoral Functional Connectivity Reveals Network‐Level Signatures of Glioma

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 11, November 2026.
Using resting‐state fMRI in 306 glioma patients, this study maps individualized intra‐ and peritumoral functional networks. Novel metrics (RIFR, RPTR) quantify tumor‐related network remodeling, correlating with pathology, structure, cognition, and survival. A prognostic model incorporating these network features achieves an AUC of 0.90.

Integrating Grain to Ground Motion Data for Critical Rock Bridge and Slope Failure Analysis

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, Volume 50, Issue 16, Page 5891-5918, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Rock masses can fail catastrophically with little warning, yet their stability depends on hidden internal connections that channel forces and localise damage. Among these, rock bridges–a “known unknown” in slope mechanics–lock fractured rock and control how failure unfolds, but their concealed geometry and uncertain strength obscure where and ...

A Deep‐Learning Model Cascade for Automating Large‐Scale Shoreline Mapping From Satellite Imagery

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2026.
Abstract This study describes a machine learning model cascade for automating large‐scale shoreline mapping from time‐series of coastal satellite imagery. Our model cascade consists of independent supervised deep learning models for image suitability, image segmentation, and image segmentation suitability.

Estimating Regional Snow Water Equivalent Using a Physics‐Informed Graph Convolution Network Model

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2026.
Abstract Snow water equivalent (SWE), which quantifies the amount of water in a snowpack, is critical for water supply forecasting. This study explores machine learning (ML) models' capability of representing the spatial distribution of SWE across the western United States.
