Non-Gaussian behaviour of a self-propelled particle on a substrate

The overdamped Brownian motion of a self-propelled particle which is driven by a projected internal force is studied by solving the Langevin equation analytically. The "active" particle under study is restricted to move along a linear channel.

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines

Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 regulates cell adhesion and membrane protrusive activity of ovarian cancer cells

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.
