Normalizers of intermediate congruence subgroups of the Hecke subgroups
For a square-free positive integer N, we study the normalizer of ΓΔ(N) in PSL2(ℝ) and investigate the group structure of its quotient by ΓΔ(N) under certain conditions.

SASqPCR: robust and rapid analysis of RT-qPCR data in SAS. [PDF]
Reverse transcription quantitative real-time PCR (RT-qPCR) is a key method for measurement of relative gene expression. Analysis of RT-qPCR data requires many iterative computations for data normalization and analytical optimization.

Teaching Normal Birth, Normally [PDF]
Teaching normal-birth Lamaze classes normally involves considering the qualities that make birth normal and structuring classes to embrace those qualities. In this column, teaching strategies are suggested for classes that unfold naturally, free from unnecessary interventions.

We examine Becker's (1960) contention that children are "normal." For the cross section of non-Hispanic white married couples in the U.S., we show that when we restrict comparisons to similarly-educated women living in similarly-expensive locations, completed fertility is positively correlated with the husband's income.

Normalizers of system normalizers [PDF]
1. The normalizers of the system normalizers are subgroups of some importance in the theory of solvable groups initiated by P. Hall [1-5]. For example, P. Hall observed [4] that a system normalizer was contained in the hypercenter of its norm lizer. R.

An L-Point Characterization of Normality and Normalizer of an L-Subgroup of an L-Group
In this paper, we study the notion of normal L-subgroup of an L-group and provide its characterization by an L-point. We also provide a construction of the normalizer of an L-subgroup of a given L-group by using L-points.

Identification and validation of reference genes for gene expression studies in water buffalo
In gene expression analysis, a key step to obtain informative data from reverse transcription quantitative PCR (RT qPCR) assay is normalization, that is usually achieved by ratio to correct the abundance of the gene of interest against that of an ...
