Noroviruses : A Challenge for Military Forces
Journal of the Royal Army Medical Corps, 2010For military forces, the control of infectious acute gastroenteritis constitutes an old, constant and unsolved concern. Recent epidemiological studies suggest that the common bacterial causes are being overtaken by viruses. Norviruses are the most alarming group and norovirus outbreaks in military forces are regularly reported.

Noroviruses and sapoviruses in pigs in Belgium
Archives of Virology, 2008Porcine noroviruses and sapoviruses belong to the family Caliciviridae and are rarely reported in European countries. In this study, swine stools from a region representative of northern Europe were screened for these viruses by RT-PCR. Both porcine noroviruses and sapoviruses were detected, showing their circulation in this region.
