Giant Adrenal Oncocytoma: A Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesIJU Case Reports, Volume 9, Issue 5, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Adrenal oncocytomas are rare, nonfunctioning tumors composed of eosinophilic oncocytic cells whose nonspecific imaging often impedes preoperative diagnosis. We report a case of a large nonfunctioning adrenal oncocytoma with borderline malignant potential, incidentally discovered during cardiac symptom evaluation.

Highly gate-tuneable Rashba spin-orbit interaction in a gate-all-around InAs nanowire metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
III-V semiconductors have been intensively studied with the goal of realizing metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) with high mobility, a high on-off ratio, and low power consumption as next-generation transistors designed to ...

Learning opportunities in eclampsia care: A ten‐year audit from Norway, 2013–2022

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 105, Issue 9, Page 1767-1777, September 2026.
Audit of eclampsia identified learning for obstetric care. Improved hypertension management and prophylactic magnesium sulfate represent opportunities for prevention, while cerebral imaging and follow‐up postpartum were underused. Clinicians need to consider differential diagnosis in pregnant and postpartum women with seizures.

Upper Bounds on the Minimum Size of Feedback Arc Set of Directed Multigraphs With Bounded Degree

open access: yesJournal of Graph Theory, Volume 112, Issue 4, Page 421-432, August 2026.
ABSTRACT An oriented multigraph is a directed multigraph without directed 2‐cycles. Let fas ( D ) denote the minimum size of a feedback arc set in an oriented multigraph D. In several papers, upper bounds for fas ( D ) were obtained for oriented multigraphs D with maximum degree upper‐bounded by a constant.

Electrochemical Properties of Quinone-Based Organic Electrodes in LiCl/DMSO Electrolyte Solutions for Fluorine-Free Lithium Secondary Batteries

open access: yesElectrochemistry
An organic electrolyte solution of 1.0 mol dm−3 LiCl/dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) was investigated for a fluorine-free battery with an electrode using 2,5-dimethoxy-1,4-benzoquinone (DMBQ) as the n-type active material and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) as ...

Linear Toroidal‐Inertial Waves on A Differentially Rotating Sphere with Application to Helioseismology: Modeling, Forward and Inverse Problems

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, Volume 49, Issue 12, Page 14122-14148, August 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper develops a mathematical framework for interpreting observations of solar inertial waves in an idealized setting. Under the assumption of purely toroidal linear waves on the sphere, the stream function of the flow satisfies a fourth‐order scalar equation.

Biomimetic MCC950‐loaded cerium‐layered double hydroxide nanoparticles for targeted treatment of Type 1 diabetes in streptozotocin‐induced mice

open access: yesBritish Journal of Pharmacology, Volume 183, Issue 16, Page 4919-4938, August 2026.
The CLMBM nanoparticle (NP) system demonstrates strong and targeted anti‐ROS, antiapoptotic and anti‐inflammatory properties within the pancreas, thereby inhibiting the onset and progression of type 1 diabetes. Background and Purpose The destruction of β‐cells in type 1 diabetes is driven by signalling cascades that ultimately lead to cell apoptosis ...

Afatinib Versus Osimertinib for Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer With Uncommon EGFR Mutations: Real‐World Outcomes

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 117, Issue 8, Page 2236-2246, August 2026.
Afatinib and osimertinib showed broadly comparable survival outcomes as first‐line therapy for NSCLC with uncommon EGFR mutations. Treatment may be individualized by mutation subtype, while adding immune checkpoint inhibition to platinum doublet after EGFR‐TKI showed no clear benefit.

Associations of Hearing Loss Defined by Updated World Health Organization Criteria With Socioeconomic Status and Health Check‐Up‐Related Factors: A Population‐Based Cross‐Sectional Study in Japan

open access: yesGeriatrics &Gerontology International, Volume 26, Issue 8, August 2026.
Hearing loss (HL) was associated with lower socioeconomic status and several health check‐up–related factors, like lifestyle and examination data, especially among males. Among males, occupational noise exposure history, diabetes‐related factors, and excessive alcohol consumption showed stronger associations.
