Brain tissue classification in hyperspectral images using multistage diffusion features and transformer

open access: yesJournal of Microscopy, EarlyView.
Abstract Brain surgery is a widely practised and effective treatment for brain tumours, but accurately identifying and classifying tumour boundaries is crucial to maximise resection and avoid neurological complications. This precision in classification is essential for guiding surgical decisions and subsequent treatment planning.

Estimating National and Foreign Trade Elasticities Using Generalized Transport Costs

open access: yesJournal of Regional Science, Volume 65, Issue 2, Page 471-496, March 2025.
ABSTRACT We introduce the definition of two distinct trade elasticities corresponding to imports from regions located in the same country (national elasticities) and foreign regions located in other countries (foreign elasticities). We resort to a three‐tier nested CES utility structure to derive the corresponding demand gravity equations.

Clinician Perspectives of Oxygen Control in Children With Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia at Home: An International Survey of Clinicians From 44 Countries

open access: yesJournal of Paediatrics and Child Health, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Bronchopulmonary dysplasia (BPD) is the most common complication of preterm birth and may lead to difficulties with oxygen control even at home. How oxygenation is managed outside the hospital and in high and low resourced settings is unclear. Aims To determine clinician perspectives for managing oxygenation after hospital discharge

Density‐Valued ARMA Models by Spline Mixtures

open access: yesJournal of Time Series Analysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper proposes a novel framework for modeling time series of probability density functions by extending autoregressive moving average (ARMA) models to density‐valued data. The method is based on a transformation approach, wherein each density function on a compact domain [0,1]d$$ {\left[0,1\right]}^d $$ is approximated by a B‐spline ...

Monolithic Integration of InP Wire and $\mbox{SiO}_x$ Waveguides on Si Platform

open access: yesIEEE Photonics Journal, 2015
We report a low-loss InP wire waveguide monolithically integrated with an SiOx waveguide on an Si platform. By means of directly bonding InP to SiO 2, we realized a submicrometer-scale InP wire waveguide with high optical confinement.
