A Universal van der Waals Tunneling Injector for Monolayer CMOS

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A universal van der Waals injector unlocks polarity‐flexible tunneling contacts for monolayer CMOS. SnSe2, an intrinsically degenerate 2D semiconductor, establishes polarity‐specific band alignments with both WSe2 and MoS2 channels, enabling steep switching, high on/off ratios, and a unified route to low‐power 2D logic.

Multi‐Stimuli Responsive Angstrom‐Scale Two‐Dimensional Channels of Natural Layered Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Å‐scale ion channels naturally formed within the interlayers of vermiculite clay enable ionic current modulation in response to mechanical, chemical, and electrical stimuli. Coupled pressure and electric fields induce reversible streaming current (Istream) polarity inversion, which is explained by a modified surface charge regulation model.

Extrusion Bioprinting for Wound Healing: Innovations in Functionalized Bioinks and Bioprinting Technology

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Extrusion‐based bioprinting (EBB) has emerged as a versatile biofabrication platform capable of precisely depositing bioinks composed of biomaterials, cells, and bioactive agents to generate patient‐specific, biomimetic skin constructs. This paper presents a state‐of‐the‐art and forward‐looking overview of EBB for wound healing, encompassing printing ...

Characterization of I kappa B alpha nuclear import pathway

open access: yes, 1999
I kappa B alpha controls the transcriptional activity of nuclear factor (NF)-kappa B by retaining it in the cytoplasm; but, when expressed in the nucleus, it can also inhibit the interaction of NF-kappa B with DNA and promote the export of NF-kappa B ...

Identification of a Nuclear Factor Kappa B-dependent Gene Network

open access: yesRecent Progress in Hormone Research, 2003
Nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-kappaB) is a highly inducible transcription factor that plays an important role in the hepatic acute-phase response, innate/adaptive immunity, and cellular survival through the induction of genetic networks. The major transcriptional-activating species Rel A-NF-kappaB is a cytoplasmic complex whose nuclear translocation is ...

Myeloid IκBα deficiency promotes atherogenesis by enhancing leukocyte recruitment to the plaques. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Activation of the transcription factor NF-κB appears to be involved in different stages of atherogenesis. In this paper we investigate the role of NF-κB inhibitor IκBα in atherosclerosis.
