RhoA and Rac1 as Mechanotransduction Mediators in Colorectal Cancer
Analysing RhoA and Rac1 protein levels in Colorectal cancer (CRC) samples under mechanical strain highlights their potential as diagnostic markers. Monitoring their activity could offer valuable insights into how cancer spreads, paving the way for new approaches to better understand and diagnose colorectal cancer.

Gene editing approaches are widely used for correcting mutations, but their application is largely limited to cells and not living animals. Here the authors show that in vivoγPNA-mediated editing of a β-globin mutation is promoted by SCF and leads to ...

Toward Design Principles for Biomolecular Condensates for Metabolic Pathways
Biomolecular condensates are membrane‐less compartments found through‐out nature which can serve as reaction crucibles for biochemical processes. This review explores the design strategies underlying how condensates can be used in biotechnology to enhance multistep enzyme cascades including enhancement by mass action and substrate channeling, and ...

Fluorecently labeled bionanotransporters of nucleic acid based on carbon nanotubes [PDF]
Here we propose the approach to design of the new type of hybrids of oligonucleotides with fluorescein-functionalized single-walled carbon nanotubes. The approach is based on stacking interactions of functionalized nanotubes with pyrene residues in conjugates of oligonucleotides.

Integrating selective RNA shortcut, targeted gene isolation, and micro‐arrayed nanoimaging, the NanoPick‐array platform excels in detecting severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2) at just 60 copies µL−1 and accurately differentiating variants at the single‐nucleotide level. It ensures 100% accuracy for samples with cycle threshold (

Better results with homogeneous biological macromolecules [PDF]
Pure and homogeneous biological macromolecules (i.e. proteins, nucleic acids, protein-protein or protein-nucleic acid complexes, and functional assemblies such as ribosomes and viruses) are the key for consistent and reliable biochemical and biophysical measurements, as well as for reproducible crystallizations, best crystal diffraction properties, and

Mesenchymal stem cell‐derived nanoghosts (MSC‐NGs) mimic naturally secreted extracellular vesicles (MSC‐EVs) in structure and physicochemical properties but can be synthesized at more translatable yields. As osteogenic agents, MSC‐NGs demonstrate superior outcomes compared to MSC‐EVs.
