The Targeting of the atToc159 Preprotein Receptor to the Chloroplast Outer Membrane is Mediated by its GTPase Domain and is Regulated by GTP [PDF]
The multimeric translocon at the outer envelope membrane of chloroplasts (Toc) initiates the recognition and import of nuclear-encoded preproteins into chloroplasts.

Cytosolic Trypanosoma cruzi nucleoside diphosphate kinase generates large granules that depend on its quaternary structure [PDF]
Nucleoside diphosphate kinase (NDPK) is a key enzyme in the control of cellular concentrations of nucleoside triphosphates, and has been shown to play important roles in many cellular processes.

To date, a variety of Brucella effector proteins have been found to mediate host cell secretion, autophagy, inflammation, and other signal pathways, but nuclear effector proteins have not yet been reported. We identified the first Brucella nucleomodulin,

Deuterated nucleotides as chemical probes of RNA structure: a detailed protocol for the enzymatic synthesis of a complete set of nucleotides specifically deuterated at ribose carbons [PDF]
We describe here a detailed protocol for the synthesis of ribonucleotides specifically deuterated at each ribose carbon atom. We synthesized 20 specifically deuterated ribonucleotides: ATP, CTP, GTP, and UTP, each of which contained one of five ...

STRAP and NME1 Mediate the Neurite Growth-Promoting Effects of the Neurotrophic Factor GDF5
Summary: Loss of midbrain dopaminergic (mDA) neurons and their axons is central to Parkinson's disease (PD). Growth differentiation factor (GDF)5 is a potential neurotrophic factor for PD therapy.

Nucleoside diphosphate kinase B is required for the formation of heterotrimeric G protein containing caveolae. [PDF]
Caveolae are flask-shaped invaginations in the plasma membrane that serve to compartmentalize and organize signal transduction processes, including signals mediated by G protein-coupled receptors and heterotrimeric G proteins.

Nucleoside diphosphate kinase of halobacteria
Nucleotide diphosphate kinase (NDK) was purified from 12 strains of halobacteria using ATP-agarose chromatography and their N-terminal amino acid sequences were determined. The electrophoretic mobilities of these enzymes differed significantly on the native-PAGE or the SDS-PAGE when the samples were not heat treated.

Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Nucleoside Diphosphate Kinase-3 (NME3) Enhances TLR5-Induced NFκB Activation
Bacterial flagellin is a potent activator of NFκB signaling, inflammation, and host innate immunity, and recent data indicate that flagellin represents a novel antitumor ligand acting through toll-like receptor 5 (TLR5) and the NFκB pathway to induce ...

ABSTRACT Cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) are the predominant stromal components within the tumor microenvironment (TME), playing multifaceted roles in cancer progression through dynamic interactions with neoplastic and immune cells. Emerging evidence has revealed remarkable heterogeneity and plasticity of CAFs, which originate from diverse ...
