Glycolysis‐Derived Lactate Induces ACSL4 Expression and Lactylation to Activate Ferroptosis during Intervertebral Disc Degeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Glycolysis‐derived lactate activates nucleus pulposus cell ferroptosis via Histon H3K18la‐mediated ACSL4 transcription and ACSL4 lactylation and aggravate intervertebral disc degeneration. Inhibiting glycolysis via gene silencing or chemical intervention reduces the production of lactate and ameliorates ferroptosis activation and nucleus pulposus ...

Collaborative Duality of CircGLIS3(2) RNA and Protein in human Wound Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CircGLIS3(2), a circRNA transiently upregulated in dermal fibroblasts during acute wound healing, is induced by IL‐1α and TGF‐β. Its RNA activates fibroblasts into matrix‐secreting cells, while its encoded protein enhances proliferation. The RNA stabilizes PCOLCE, and the protein interacts with BTF3, collectively accelerating wound repair. Abstract The

Single‐Cell and Spatial Transcriptomics Reveals a Stereoscopic Response of Rice Leaf Cells to Magnaporthe oryzae Infection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By employing a combination of single cell and spatial transcriptomic sequencing, this study presents a stereoscopic response of rice leaf to Magnaporthe oryzae infection. The vascular tissues mount defenses by producing phytoalexins. The immune strength is stronger toward the rice leaf tip than that of the leaf base.
