Current Trends and Future Prospects of Integrating Electrospinning With 3D Printing Techniques for Mimicking Bone Extracellular Matrix Scaffolds

open access: yesJournal of Polymer Science, Volume 63, Issue 6, Page 1481-1504, 15 March 2025.
ABSTRACT This article presents a review of the recent findings on the combination of electrospun nanofibers and three‐dimensional (3D)‐printed structures for extracellular matrix (ECM) scaffolds for bone tissue engineering. We explore the synergy between electrospinning (ES), which produces highly porous, fibrous structures from materials like collagen

Allosteric Regulation of RNA Affinity by Motif V‐VI Coupling in West Nile Virus NS3 Helicase

open access: yesProteins: Structure, Function, and Bioinformatics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The rise of flaviviral diseases, including West Nile virus (WNV), presents a growing threat to global public health and underscores the urgent need for new therapeutic strategies. The non‐structural protein 3 helicase (NS3h) of the Orthoflavivirus genus, including WNV, is essential for viral replication and a promising antiviral target ...

Comparative efficacy of seed biopriming and soil drenching with Bacillus altitudinis TM22 and Bacillus atrophaeus MCM61 on the suppression of Fusarium wilt of cotton

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Co‐application of Bacillus strains TM22 and MCM61 suppressed Fusarium wilt of cotton. Seed biopriming with Bacillus strains performed better than soil drenching. TM22 + MCM61 improved vegetative and physiological aspects in cotton plants. TM22 + MCM61 enhanced the activity of defense enzymes and defense gene expression.

Characteristics of fungicide resistance in Asian soybean rust (Phakopsora pachyrhizi) in Paraguay for 2022–2023: insights from genetic mutations and molecular dynamics simulations

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Phakopsora pachyrhizi in Paraguay showed diverse resistance to DMI, SDHI, and QoI fungicides at both regional and intra‐field levels, likely driven by target mutation genes. Abstract BACKGROUND Phakopsora pachyrhizi, the causative agent of Asian soybean rust, poses a major threat to soybean production in South America. The rising incidence of fungicide

Synthetic polymer nanocarrier enhances dsRNA stability but not RNAi efficacy in Brassicogethes aeneus

open access: yesPest Management Science, EarlyView.
Experimental setup for dsRNA feeding in Brassicogethes aeneus to evaluate the effect of a synthetic polymer nanocarrier on RNAi efficiency. The experiment assessed whether the nanocarrier enhances RNAi after oral dsRNA delivery. (a) Stability of dsRNA–nanocarrier complexes was tested in simulated gut conditions. (b) Gene expression of αCOP and dre4 was
