Benchmarking fMRI Denoising Pipelines

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 10, July 2026.
This paper benchmarked fMRI denoising pipelines on task‐ and resting‐state, single‐ and multi‐echo fMRI datasets, in a modern 1‐step regression framework, with pre‐whitening and time‐shifted physiological confounds involved. ABSTRACT Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) is a powerful tool for probing neuronal activity in vivo, but fMRI data are

Test–Retest Reliability of Sensorimotor Activity Measured With Spinal Cord fMRI

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 10, July 2026.
fMRI captured sensorimotor activation in hand‐related spinal cord regions, in accord with the established neuroanatomical organisation of the cord. While task performance reliability was good‐to‐excellent, the reliability of spinal cord activation was mixed.

Behavior and mortality of anurans on roads in the Australian tropics

open access: yesThe Journal of Wildlife Management, Volume 90, Issue 5, July 2026.
Roads are a major source of mortality for wildlife, particularly amphibians. Identifying vulnerable species and understanding any behavioral predictors of mortality helps us understand vulnerability to traffic and can inform management strategies. We investigated a 9‐species anuran community in tropical Australia with respect to 3 behavioral responses ...

Proximity to bait and social interactions influence individual wild pig (Sus scrofa) visitation at bait sites

open access: yesThe Journal of Wildlife Management, Volume 90, Issue 5, July 2026.
Individual wild pig bait site visitation and time to initial detection is primarily influenced by space use (i.e., proximity to bait) and whether wild pigs from other social groups visited before. Specifically, females are less likely to visit a bait site if an adult male visits a site before them.

Double Asymmetric Spin Echo EPI (dASE‐EPI) Enables fMRI of the Entire Rat Brain at 9.4 T

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 1, Page 366-373, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose Development and evaluation of a double asymmetric spin echo planar imaging (dASE‐EPI) sequence to balance sensitivity to blood oxygenation level‐dependent (BOLD) contrast with mitigation of susceptibility‐induced intravoxel spin dephasing in ultra high‐field rodent brain imaging.
