Structure‐forward targeting of claudins with synthetic binders
Claudins form the paracellular barriers between epithelial and endothelial tissues at tight junctions and are targets for molecular binders with the goal of modulating barrier permeability. Claudin‐binding molecules are relevant in drug delivery or in altering claudin interactions with disease‐causing proteins.

Scheduling stochastic jobs on a single machine to minimize weighted number of tardy jobs
An important scheduling problem in manufacturing and service organizations is the on-time deliveries of products and services. This paper addresses a single machine scheduling problem wherein processing times and/or due-dates are random variables and ...

Engineering peptides into antibodies—opportunities and strategies for therapeutic innovation
Peptides and antibodies occupy complementary therapeutic niches. Peptides recognize difficult targets in a compact format, while antibodies add specificity, long half‐life, and effector functions. This review examines strategies that merge both modalities—peptide grafting into loops, terminal and Fc fusions, and bioconjugation—highlighting how ...

A Decision Support System for Dynamic Job-Shop Scheduling Using Real-Time Data with Simulation
The wide usage of information technologies in production has led to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, which has enabled real data collection from production tools that are capable of communicating with each other through the Internet of Things (IoT ...

Epigenetic reprogramming of lineage switching in cancer
Cancer cells rarely commit to a single identity. Epigenetic mechanisms and tumor microenvironment cues push epithelial cells toward flexible, hybrid states that can shift into mesenchymal, neuroendocrine, or stem‐like fates, driving metastasis, drug resistance, and tumor heterogeneity. Targeting the epigenetic regulators behind these transitions, using

Nature-Inspired Metaheuristics for Two-Agent Scheduling with Due Date and Release Time
This paper delves into a two-agent scheduling problem in which two agents are competing for a single resource. Each agent has a set of jobs to be processed by a single machine.

Ligand‐dependent transcriptional heterogeneity in cell cycle gene expression delays G1/S entry
EGF and HRG induce distinct G1/S progression programs in ErbB2‐amplified BT474 breast cancer cells. Despite activating the potent ErbB2–ErbB3 heterodimer, HRG does not accelerate cell‐cycle entry. Instead, EGF promotes earlier restriction‐point passage via ERK–FOS signaling, whereas HRG activates the AKT–MYC axis, driving transcriptional heterogeneity ...

Scheduling Of 2-Operation Jobs On A Single Machine To Minimize The Number Of Tardy Jobs [PDF]
This study focuses on the study of a unique but commonly occurring manufacturing problem of scheduling of customized jobs consisting of two operations on a single multi-purpose machine with the performance objective of minimizing the number of tardy jobs

Single-machine scheduling with trade-off between number of tardy jobs and resource allocation
We consider a single-machine scheduling problem in which job processing times are controllable through the allocation of a limited resource. The amount of resource consumption of a job is assumed to be linearly related to the job processing time.

Two-agent scheduling with generalized due dates
In this paper we consider the problems of order pickers in warehouse management. We interpret the problems as machine scheduling problems in which the due dates are not specified for the jobs but for their positions.
