A Full Characterization of Bertrand Numeration Systems [PDF]

open access: yesLecture Notes in Computer Science, 2022
peer reviewedAmong all positional numeration systems, the widely studied Bertrand numeration systems are defined by a simple criterion in terms of their numeration languages.

Decidability questions related to abstract numeration systems

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 2004
peer reviewedWe show that some decidability questions concerning recognizable sets of integers for abstract numeration systems are equivalent to classical problems related to HD0L systems.

Numerical solutions to noisy systems

49th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC), 2010
A numerical method for rigorous over-approximation of a solution set of an input-affine system whose inputs represent some bounded noise is presented. The method gives high order error for a single time step and a uniform bound on the error over the finite time interval.
