Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Taylor Polynomials in a High Arithmetic Precision as Universal Approximators
Function approximation is a fundamental process in a variety of problems in computational mechanics, structural engineering, as well as other domains that require the precise approximation of a phenomenon with an analytic function. This work demonstrates

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Optimizing the Coefficients of Numerical Differentiation Formulae Using Neural Networks
The use of a numerical differentiation formula (NDF) is an excellent method for solving stiff ordinary differential equations. However, the NDF method cannot fully adapt to all stiff systems.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Numerical Differentiation Using Statistical Design [PDF]
Derivatives are frequently required by numerical procedures across many disciplines. Numerical differentiation can be useful for approximating derivatives. This dissertation will introduce computational differentiation (the process by which derivatives
