Control-based continuation for investigating nonlinear experiments

open access: yes, 2010
This paper presents a systematic experimental study of two one-degree-of-freedom nonlinear devices using the newly introduced control-based continuation method by Sieber and Krauskopf [Nonlinear Dynamics 2008].

Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

Mathematical modeling of Elbrus glaciers in the 21st century. Part 1. Glaciological model and setup of numerical experiments.

open access: yesЛëд и снег
This study fills a gap in the long-term prediction of changes in parameters of the Elbrus glaciers, using the GloGEMflow-debris model to simulate the glacier evolution. The part 1 provides a detailed description of the model architecture.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Quantitative relationship between unsuitable water intake time at Qingcaosha reservoir and river discharge under different northerly wind speeds

open access: yesFrontiers in Marine Science
Estuarine saltwater intrusion is mainly controlled by river discharge, tide and wind. It is important for utilization of estuarine freshwater to study quantitative relationship between unsuitable water intake time and river discharge.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Numerical Simulation of the High-Frequency Capacitive Discharge [PDF]

open access: yesУчёные записки Казанского университета: Серия Физико-математические науки, 2015
The nonlinear problem of determining the interaction parameters between the high-frequency capacitive discharge and the sample placed on a substrate in the local approximation is considered. The problem is described by a system of nonlinear initial-value

Numerical modelling of the cluster targets for their optimization in femtosecond-laser-cluster-driven experiments

open access: yes, 2017
The interaction of femtosecond ultra-intense laser pulses with clusters increases absorption of the incident laser light compared with the interaction with solid targets and leads to enhanced generation of different quantum beams with unique parameters ...
