Evaluation of Static Potential Integrals on Triangular Domains
Static potential integrals for constant and linear sources on triangles are derived in a straightforward way. The new representations, as presented, are robust with respect to machine evaluation in important limiting cases.

Design of quadrature rules for Müntz and Müntz-logarithmic polynomials using monomial transformation [PDF]
A method for constructing the exact quadratures for Müntz and Müntz-logarithmic polynomials is presented. The algorithm does permit to anticipate the precision (machine precision) of the numerical integration of Müntz-logarithmic polynomials in terms of ...

Evidence and Credibility: Full Bayesian Significance Test for Precise Hypotheses
: A Bayesian measure of evidence for precise hypotheses is presented. The intention is to give a Bayesian alternative to significance tests or, equivalently, to p-values. In fact, a set is defined in the parameter space and the posterior probability, its

Numerical Integration of Peak Functions
Numerical integration of monotone and unimodal positive functions is considered. Adaptive and nonadaptive methods are studied in the worst case setting. Adaptation significantly helps for the class of unimodal functions, but not for the class of monotone functions. The methods are reliable for nonsmooth and discontinuous functions as well.

Tracking fluctuating targets in extremely heterogeneous clutter using amplitude information
This study analyses the radar fluctuating target detection in G(0)-distributed clutter using dynamic programming – track before detect (DP-TBD) algorithm. G(0)-distributed clutter is often used to fit the complex circumstances. The authors use chi-square

Multiscale Geometric Integration of Deterministic and Stochastic Systems [PDF]
In order to accelerate computations and improve long time accuracy of numerical simulations, this thesis develops multiscale geometric integrators. For general multiscale stiff ODEs, SDEs, and PDEs, FLow AVeraging integratORs (FLAVORs) have been ...
