Simulation System of Technological Support of Automated Complex [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
Mathematical modeling of technical and technological systems and processes occurring in these systems can be interpreted as multi-step processes of solving managerial problems, where the application of classical methods for obtaining numerical results is

Symbolic algorithm for solving SLAEs with multi-diagonal coefficient matrices

open access: yesDiscrete and Continuous Models and Applied Computational Science
Systems of linear algebraic equations with multi-diagonal coefficient matrices may arise after many different scientific and engineering problems, as well as problems of the computational linear algebra where finding the solution of such a system of ...

Mathematical programming methods in the numerical solution of Volterra integral and integro-differential equations with weakly-singular kernel

open access: yesNonlinear Analysis: Theory, Methods & Applications, 1997
The numerical solution of weakly-singular nonlinear Volterra integral equations is considered. It is proposed to use polynomial or multiquadric approximations to the solution, and to determine the coefficients in such a way that the maximum of the residual becomes minimal.

Application of the Sine-Cosine Algorithm to the Optimal Design of a Closed Coil Helical Spring

open access: yesTESEA, Transactions on Energy Systems and Engineering Applications, 2022
This paper proposes the application of the sinecosine algorithm (SCA) to the optimal design of a closed coil helical spring. The optimization problem addressed corresponds to the minimization of total spring volume subject to physical constraints that ...

Mathematical Apparatus of Optimal Decision-Making Based on Vector Optimization

open access: yesApplied System Innovation, 2019
We present a problem of “acceptance of an optimal solution” as a mathematical model in the form of a vector problem of mathematical programming.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...
