Modelling Combined Intravenous Thrombolysis and Mechanical Thrombectomy in Acute Ischaemic Stroke: Understanding the Relationship between Stent Retriever Configuration and Clot Lysis Mechanisms

open access: yesLife, 2021
Background: Combined intravenous thrombolysis and mechanical thrombectomy (IVT-MT) is a common treatment in acute ischaemic stroke, however the interaction between IVT and MT from a physiological standpoint is poorly understood.

Sustained Therapeutic Efficacy of Intravenous Plasminogen Concentrate in Pediatric Patients With Type 1 Plasminogen Deficiency: An Analysis of Dosing Parameters and Clinical Outcomes

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Type 1 plasminogen deficiency (PLGD‐1) is an ultra‐rare autosomal recessive disorder caused by variants in the PLG gene and affects approximately 1.6 individuals per million. The condition is characterized by decreased plasminogen levels and impaired function, resulting in fibrin‐rich lesions on mucous membranes throughout the body.

Emission Control and Sensitivity Regime Shifts Drive the Decline in Extreme Ozone Concentration in the Sichuan Basin During 2015–2024

open access: yesRemote Sensing
In recent years, ozone (O3) pollution has become a prominent air quality concern in the Sichuan Basin (SCB). Based on surface O3 measurements from 22 cities between 2015 and 2024, this study investigates the evolution of extreme O3 pollution events and ...

Guidelines for Pediatric Radiotherapy Simulation: A Report From the Children's Oncology Group Radiation Oncology Discipline

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric radiation therapy presents unique challenges compared to adult treatments, including those of immobilization, potential need for sedation, and the critical importance of accurate, reproducible positioning. Additionally, heightened attention to imaging doses is necessary to minimize long‐term toxicity in survivors.

Vibration Measurement and Numerical Modeling Analysis of Transformer Windings and Iron Cores Based on Voltage and Current Harmonics

open access: yesMachines, 2022
The operating condition and structural state of the converter transformer are closely related to vibration. Abundant harmonics aggravate the vibration of windings and iron cores, resulting in frequent mechanical structural failures, which seriously ...

Quantitative systems pharmacology model of B cell immune response in mouse

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology
B cell-mediated immunity plays a crucial role in long-term humoral protection. However, dysregulation of B cell development and differentiation may lead to the persistence of autoreactive clones, contributing to autoimmune diseases.

The Role of “Adult‐Onset” Cancer Predisposition Genes in Pediatric Cancer: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Current literature estimates that 10% of pediatric cancers are caused by pathogenic or likely pathogenic (P/LP) germline variants in cancer predisposition genes (CPGs). Variants in CPGs thought to increase cancer risk exclusively during adulthood are referred to as “adult‐onset” CPGs (aoCPGs).
