Simulation of Supersymmetric Models with a Local Nicolai Map [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We study the numerical simulation of supersymmetric models having a local Nicolai map. The mapping can be regarded as a stochastic equation and its numerical integration provides an algorithm for the simulation of the original model.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Application of Large Eddy Simulation in the process of the Multi-Physics Field Coupling in a Combustion Chamber

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2015
Numerical simulation is the main method to solve turbulence problems. As one of the three methods which are commonly used in large-eddy simulation model (LES) is the most effective and promising research method. The basic idea of large-eddy simulation is

A satellite-based ice fraction record for small water bodies of the Arctic Coastal Plain (2017 to 2023) [PDF]

open access: yesEarth System Science Data
Ice cover of water bodies in the northern high latitudes (NHL) is highly sensitive to the changing climate, and its dynamics exert substantial impacts on the NHL ecosystems, hydrological processes, and the carbon cycle. Yet, operational quantification of

Numerical simulation of convective airflow in an empty room [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Numerical simulation of airflow inside an empty room has been carried out for a forced convection, a natural convection and a mixed convection respectively, by using a computational fluid dynamics approach of solving the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes ...

A High-Order Variational Multiscale Approach to Turbulence for Compact Nodal Schemes

open access: yes, 2020
This article presents a formulation that extends the variational multiscale modelling for compressible large-eddy simulation to a vast family of compact nodal numerical methods represented by the high-order flux reconstruction scheme.

Simulation of the Spin Field Effect Transistors: Effects of Tunneling and Spin Relaxation on its Performance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
A numerical simulation of spin-dependent quantum transport for a spin field effect transistor (spinFET) is implemented in a widely used simulator nanoMOS.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Effect of divergence on the compressible flow patterns in off-design planar nozzles [PDF]

open access: yesFME Transactions
In the present work, the objective is to determine the Mach number and static pressure flow field behavior for off-design planar nozzle geometries with divergent angles of 1.21° (model A1) and 10.85° (model B1).

Numerical Analysis of Fourier Finite Volume Element Method for Dirichlet Boundary Optimal Control Problems Governed by Elliptic PDEs on Complex Connected Domains

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
In this research, we investigate an optimal control problem governed by elliptic PDEs with Dirichlet boundary conditions on complex connected domains, which can be utilized to model the cooling process of concrete dam pouring.
