Adenoviral Pancreatitis in Guinea Fowl (Numida meleagris)
Avian Diseases, 1989Necrotizing pancreatitis was observed in 2-week-old Guinea fowl submitted for necropsy and histopathology. Intranuclear inclusion bodies seen histologically in acinar epithelium were examined by electron microscopy and found to contain viruses resembling adenovirus. Adenovirus was isolated in embryonated eggs from the pancreata of affected birds.

The seminiferous epithelium in the guinea fowl (Numida meleagris)
Cell and Tissue Research, 1980Spermiogenesis and cellular associations in the seminiferous epithelium of the guinea fowl were studied and described in "sexually" active adult birds. PAS stain was found to be useful in the recognition of steps of spermatid differentiation only in the first early stages.

Experimental Histomoniasis in the Guinea Fowl, Numida meleagris*
The Journal of Protozoology, 1972SYNOPSISGuinea fowl were inoculated rectally with Histomonas meleagridis to produce histomoniasis. The birds were infected readily by this unnatural route. Severe cecal involvement was frequent and long‐lasting but liver lesions and death were rare. Turkeys given the same inoculum had high levels of liver involvement and mortality.

A Seminoma in a Monorchid Guinea Fowl (Numida meleagris)
Journal of Veterinary Medicine Series A, 2006SummaryA case of seminoma in a monorchid adult guinea fowl (Numida meleagris) is described. Grossly, a right enlarged testis, which was soft in consistency, and white to pale in colour with few spots of haemorrhages was observed. Histologically, the testicle revealed diffusely spread sheets of tumour cells.
