Liquid Phase Selective Hydrogenation of Phenol to Cyclohexanone over Electrospun Pd/PVDF-HFP Catalyst

open access: yesFibers, 2019
Cyclohexanone is an important industrial intermediate in the synthesis of materials such as nylons, but preparing it efficiently through one-step hydrogenation of phenol is hindered by over-reduction to cyclohexanol.

Viscoelastic Behavior of Polyamide 6–COC Blends: Role of Crystallinity and Frequency‐Domain Modeling

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 142, Issue 47, December 15, 2025.
Schematic overview of the study: Polyamide 6 (PA6) was blended with amorphous cycloolefin copolymer (COC) via melt blending to systematically tailor crystallinity. The resulting blends were characterized using SEM, DSC, and DMA, enabling construction of frequency‐temperature master curves.

Analyzing the Chemical Stability of Bio‐Based Polyamide Resins via Solubility Parameters, NMR Spectroscopy and Capillary Electrophoresis

open access: yesMacromolecular Chemistry and Physics, Volume 226, Issue 23, December 5, 2025.
The chemical resistance of hot‐melt adhesives is assessed in conditions mimicking mining sites. These polyamide resins are more stable in alkaline than acidic conditions and their mass loss in organic solvents can be predicted with Hansen parameters.

Warpage in Material Extrusion Additive Manufacturing of Amorphous and Semicrystalline Polymers

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 310, Issue 12, December 2025.
Material Extrusion Additive Manufacturing (MEAM) enables the fabrication of complex parts, but faces the challenge of warpage due to thermal stresses and phase transitions. This review examines the warpage mechanism, the role of processing conditions, material properties, and part geometry.

The Nonlinear Optical Behavior of Linear Diamantane Polyamides

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 28, Issue 44, November 28, 2025.
Diamondoid‐based polyamides exhibit nonlinear optical properties, namely, they emit white light upon continuous‐wave irradiation with infrared lasers. The use of diamantane monomers significantly enhances the thermal stability of such novel polyamides, thereby opening new avenues for efficient and durable, organic lighting applications.

Ability of Group IVB metallocene polyethers containing dienestrol to arrest the growth of selected cancer cell lines

open access: yesBMC Cancer, 2009
Background Monomeric Group IVB (Ti, Zr and Hf) metallocenes represent a new class of antitumor compounds. There is literature on the general biological activities of some organotin compounds. Unfortunately, there is little information with respect to the

PIEZOELECTRIC POLYMERS IN TEXTILE INDUSTRY [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of the University of Oradea: Fascicle of Textiles, Leatherwork, 2018
In the Piezoelectric behaviour refers that conversion of mechanical impact to electrical power, or electrical impact to mechanical changing. The presence of piezoelectricity has been scientifically discovered in 1880 as a result of the work of Jacques ...
