Comparison of O-Antigen Gene Clusters of Escherichia coli ( Shigella ) Sonnei and Plesiomonas shigelloides O17: Sonnei Gained Its Current Plasmid-Borne O-Antigen Genes from P. shigelloides in a Recent Event [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Escherichia coli Sonnei has an O antigen identical to that of Plesiomonas shigelloides O17, and its O-antigen gene cluster is located on a plasmid. By sequencing the chromosomal O-antigen gene cluster of P.

O17 NMR study of local spin susceptibility in aligned YBa2Cu3O7 powder [PDF]

open access: yes, 1989
O17 nuclear-magnetic-resonance spectra are obtained, using uniaxially aligned powder of YBa2Cu3O7, and resonance lines from the four inequivalent oxygen sites are clearly distinguished.

The elucidation of the structure of the core part of the LPS from Plesiomonas shigelloides serotype O17 expressing O-polysaccharide chain identical to the Shigella sonnei O-chain [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Plesiomonas shigelloides O17 LPS contains the same O-antigenic polysaccharide chain as a causative agent of dysentery, Shigella sonnei. This polysaccharide can be used as a component of a vaccine against dysentery.

Effect of molecular perturbation on cocrystal formation: theophylline and its 8‐halo analogues with flavonoids

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section C, EarlyView.
The tendency for alkaloid–flavonoid cocrystal formation is found to be markedly different for theophylline (Tph) compared to its 8‐halo analogues. Through screening with 13 common flavonoids, Tph is found to form cocrystals with six flavonoids, whereas 8‐Cl‐Tph and 8‐Br‐Tph each form cocrystals with just two, myricetin and kaempferol.

Maize Biofortification Approaches for Fighting Malnutrition in Sub‐Saharan Africa

open access: yesPlant-Environment Interactions, Volume 7, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Maize is a staple food in sub‐Saharan Africa (SSA); however, commonly used maize varieties are deficient in essential nutrients, including lysine, tryptophan, vitamin A, and minerals such as iron (Fe) and zinc (Zn). As a result, millions of people in this region suffer from one or more nutrient deficiencies that commonly lead to malnutrition ...

GAMMA RADIATION FROM THE PROTON BOMBARDMENT OF OXYGEN [PDF]

open access: yes, 1954
The nuclear gamma radiation following the non-resonant capture of a proton in O16 has been studied with protons of energies, from 800 kev. to 2.1 Mev. and found to consist of three components.
