We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Improving Bag-of-Words model with spatial information
Bag-of-Words (BOW) models have recently become popular for the task of object recognition, owing to their good performance and simplicity. Much work has been proposed over the years to improve the BOW model, where the Spatial Pyramid Matching technique ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Scale Saliency: Applications in Visual Matching, Tracking and View-Based Object Recognition
In this paper, we introduce a novel technique for image matching and feature-based tracking. The technique is based on the idea of using the Scale-Saliency algorithm to pick a sparse number of ‘interesting’ or ‘salient’ features. Feature vectors for each

Visual saliency from image features with application to compression
Image feature point algorithms and their associated regional de-scriptors can be viewed as primitive detectors of visually-salient information. In this paper, a new method for constructing a visual attention probabilitymap using features is proposed ...

Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Vision based landmark detection for UAV navigation [PDF]
The majority of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) available today depend on Global Position Satellites (GPS) and inertial measurement units (IMU) for state estimation used in navigation and control.

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

E2A selectively regulates TGF‐β–induced apoptosis in KRAS‐mutant non‐small cell lung cancer
Ability to induce apoptosis by TGF‐β is frequently lost in advanced lung adenocarcinoma despite intact TGF‐β signaling. We identify E2A as a mutant KRAS–dependent mediator of resistance to TGF‐β–induced apoptosis. TGF‐β induces E2A via SMAD3 in mutant KRAS cells, and E2A silencing restores apoptosis and enhances radiation response in cell lines ...

Designing a resource-allocating codebook for patch-based visual object recognition
The state-of-the-art approach in visual object recognition is the use of local information extracted at several points or image patches from an image. Local information at specific points can deal with object shape variability and partial occlusions. The
