Visual Recognition System for Cleaning Tasks by Humanoid Robots
In this study, we present a visual recognition system that enables a robot to clean a tabletop. The proposed system comprises object recognition, material recognition and ungraspable object detection using information acquired from a visual sensor ...

Simultaneous Detection and Interaction Reasoning for Object-Centric Action Recognition [PDF]
The interactions between human and objects are important for recognizing object-centric actions. Existing methods usually adopt a two-stage pipeline, where object proposals are first detected using a pretrained detector, and then are fed to an action recognition model for extracting video features and learning the object relations for action ...

The authors applied joint/mixed models that predict mortality of trifluridine/tipiracil‐treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients based on circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) trajectories. Patients at high risk of death could be spared aggressive therapy with the prospect of a higher quality of life in their remaining lifetime, whereas patients with a ...

Breast tumor samples scored for metabolic deregulation (M1 to M3) were given a hypoxia score (HS). The highest HS occurred in patients with strongest metabolic deregulation (M3), supporting tumor aggressiveness. HS correlated with the highest number of metabolic pathways in M1. This suggests hypoxia to be an early event in metabolic deregulation.

Learning Similarity for Character Recognition and 3D Object Recognition [PDF]
I describe an approach to similarity motivated by Bayesian methods. This yields a similarity function that is learnable using a standard Bayesian methods. The relationship of the approach to variable kernel and variable metric methods is discussed. The approach is related to variable kernel Experimental results on character recognition and 3D object ...
