Comparison of shadow models and their impact on precise orbit determination of BeiDou satellites during eclipsing phases

open access: yesEarth, Planets and Space, 2022
Solar radiation pressure (SRP) is an extremely critical perturbative force that affects the GNSS satellites’ precise orbit determination (POD). Its imperfect modelling is one of the main error sources of POD, whose magnitude is even to10−9 m/s2.

Global Evidence of Obliquity Damping in Climate Proxies and Sea-Level Record during the Last 1.2 Ma: A Missing Link for the Mid-Pleistocene Transition

open access: yesGeosciences, 2023
A recent research has identified an inverse amplitude link between obliquity damping and short eccentricity amplification during the Mid-Late Pleistocene based on LR04 δ18O and equatorial Pacific Site 846 sea surface temperature records that is ...

Di-nuclear molecular states in oblate-oblate system [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1994
Abstract Narrow resonances in heavy-ion scattering of 28 Si + 28 Si are studied as an example of oblate-oblate di-nuclear systems. By the use of the molecular model, a stable configuration of the system is found to be an equator-equator touching one, due to the oblate shape of the 28 Si nuclei.

Perturbed locations and linear stability of collinear Lagrangian points in the elliptic restricted three body problem with triaxial primaries

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2019
This paper aims to study the effect of the triaxiality and the oblateness as a special case of primaries on the locations and stability of the collinear equilibrium points of the elliptic restricted three body problem (in brief ERTBP).

The collinear equilibrium points in the restricted three body problem with triaxial primaries

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2018
The perturbed restricted three body problem has been reviewed. The mass of the primaries are assumed as triaxial. The locations of the collinear points have been computed. Series forms of these locations are obtained as new analytical results.

On the Stability of L4,5 in the Relativistic R3BP with Oblate Secondary and Radiating Primary

open access: yesAdvances in Astronomy, 2015
We consider a version of the relativistic restricted three-body problem (R3BP) which includes the effects of oblateness of the secondary and radiation of the primary. We determine the positions and analyze the stability of the triangular points.

Nonlinear Stability of the Triangular Libration Points for Radiating and Oblate Primaries in CR3BP in Nonresonance Condition

open access: yesAdvances in Astronomy, 2015
This paper investigates the existence of resonance and nonlinear stability of the triangular equilibrium points when both oblate primaries are luminous. The study is carried out near the resonance frequency, satisfying the conditions ω1=ω2,  ω1=2ω2, and ...

On the stability of triangular points in the relativistic R3BP when the bigger primary is oblate and the smaller one radiating with application on Cen X-4 binary system

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2018
In the framework of the relativistic R3BP, we examine the effects of oblateness of the primary body and radiation pressure of the secondary on the positions and stability of the triangular points L4,5.

Pulsating Different Curves of Zero Velocity around Triangular Equilibrium Points in Elliptical Restricted Three-Body Problem

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, 2013
The oblateness and the photogravitational effects of both the primaries on the location and the stability of the triangular equilibrium points in the elliptical restricted three-body problem have been discussed.

Estimating the Oblateness of Dark Matter Halos Using Neutral Hydrogen Velocity Dispersion

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters, 2023
We derive the oblateness parameter q of the dark matter halo of a sample of gas-rich, face-on disk galaxies. We have assumed that the halos are triaxial in shape but their axes in the disk plane ( a and b ) are equal, so that q = c / a measures the halo ...
