HELQ Maintains Genome Stability of Primordial Germ Cells by Inhibiting LINE‐1 Expression
HELQ interacts with the histone demethylase KDM4B to maintain the level of H3K9me3 modification in the LINE‐1 region, thus inhibiting its expression and preserving genome stability. HELQ deficiency leads to elevated levels of KDM4B and reduces H3K9me3 modification, which increases LINE‐1 expression and subsequently genome instability in primordial germ
