REGISTRATION OF CENTRIC OCCLUSION IN PATIENTS WITH BRUXISM AND BRUXOMANIA THROUGH ARTICULATING PAPER AND THE SYSTEM T-SCAN - COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of IMAB, 2014
The study and documentation of occlusal-articulation relationships has a high diagnostic significance in patients with bruxism and bruxomania. The study aims on the basis of registration of occlusal contacts via articulating paper and the T-Scan system ...

Occlusal Contacts during Protrusion

open access: yesČeská Stomatologie a Praktické Zubní Lékařství, 2016
Introduction and aim: Many criteria of ideal occlusion, especially of the static occlusion, were generally accepted. On the contrary, other parameters, especially of the dynamic occlusion, are subject to ongoing debate. Epidemiological studies contribute

Circadian dynamics in the functional interaction of the lateral teeth occlusal surfaces' relief

open access: yesIndian Journal of Dental Research, 2020
Aim: This study describes the relationship of the chronophysiological organization of the lateral teeth occlusion and the parameters of the chewing unit of the human dentofacial system (bioelectric potentials, the force of the masticatory muscles ...

Study of occlusal contact area by occlusal adjustment. 4. Analysis of occlusal contact area in the lateral excursion.

open access: yesNihon Shishubyo Gakkai Kaishi (Journal of the Japanese Society of Periodontology), 1988

Development of a biomechanical model for dynamic occlusal stress analysis

open access: yesInternational Journal of Oral Science, 2021
The use of traditional finite element method (FEM) in occlusal stress analysis is limited due to the complexity of musculature simulation. The present purpose was to develop a displacement boundary condition (DBC)-FEM, which evaded the muscle factor, to ...

Impact of occlusal contact pattern on dental stability and oromandibular system after orthodontic tooth movement in rats

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
How to ensure dental stability in new positions and reduce the likelihood of relapse is a major clinical concern in the orthodontic field. Occlusal contacts between arches may affect the transmission of masticatory forces, thereby influencing the ...
